Clancy the Dragon by Kate E. Hancock - Digital Version
Taking inspiration from myths and magic, Kate E Hancock has created Clancy, a delightful little baby dragon who is sure to win a place in your heart. Standing proudly at 7-8” (17-20cm) excluding the horns, Clancy can be poseable or non-poseable, as you wish. As an Amiguroumi, Clancy will need to be crocheted quite tightly to avoid the stuffing from showing though. Suitable for an intermediate crocheter, the pattern uses a variety of stitches and techniques which are clearly explained in the numerous diagrams and photos. Clancy can be created using any DK yarn, but why not try our own awarding winning Studio DK, a beautifully soft acrylic yarn with anti-pilling technology, and the closest shades are Jade and Mustard. Please note that Studio DK is a 100g ball, so you will have some left over if a 50g ball is specified - although you could put it towards making another of Kate's fabulous creations! To complete your dragon you will need: 100g of your main shade 50g of your contrast shade 4mm and 3.5mm crochet hooks (US sizes E/4 and G/6) and if you choose to crochet the eyes, you will also need 3mm. Yarn or thread for embroidering the nose and toes 2 x 20mm safety eyes - though please note that Kate handpainted the safety eyes in the illustration for extra appeal - they are usually either a plain black or 'googly' Stuffing Yarn needle Stitch markers Please note: Clancy is crocheted using UK terminology.
