I love the finished project even with a few bumps along the way

I love the finished project even with a few bumps along the way. The finished blanket is soft and supple with a lovely sheen and it is impressing the heck out of my friends. I ADORE this yarn (Studio DK anti-pilling). 5 stars for the design, color palette, and yarn selection 4 stars for the hook recommendations Here are my corrrections / issues: 1. Had to translate pattern into US terms. 2. Gauge is completely off -- Square #1 - G hook not correct -- needed to go down to E for plain squares 3. Gauge is completely off - Square 2 & 3 - G hook not correct needed to go up to a #7 hook for both the circle squares and the front post squares My finishing notes: Joined squares with #7 hook and working in back loops only - joined as per pattern EDGING: Row 1 : With #7 hook - sc in back loop only around with sc/ch1/sc in corners and 1sc through both joining sc in valleys. Row 2: With G hook - dc in both loops around with dc/ch2/dc in corners and 2dc together over 3sc in valleys skipping the center sc in the joining stitches

I love their patterns and their yarn. I love that they have free patterns so you can think about what you want to do and get yarn for your particular preference/giftee.
