It was love at first sight when we saw all that The Fibre Company had to offer, and met the founder Daphne, who has a passion for yarns that inspire, with a focus on natural blends. With weights from fingering to bulky, there really is something to keep every fibre fanatic happy. Based in Cumbria in the north of England, their muse is more than often, their stunning surroundings.
Inspired by the array of semi-precious stones which can be found along the Silk Road, Road to China is a sumptuous combination of the softest alpaca blended with silk, camel, and cashmere. With subtle colour and texture variations, it is a sport or 4 ply weight created from 3 strands of gently spun yarn. With excellent drape, and a slight shininess from the silk, it is ideal for making the most luxurious scarves, cowls, and accessories.
