Stitch of the Week: Crochet Arrow

This week we have a fabulous pattern for you to get on your hooks just ahead of the summer season. From summer accessories to holiday tops this design makes a great starting point for your new wardrobe. 

Crochet Arrow Pattern

Note: This pattern uses UK crochet terminology.

Make foundation ch. Multiple of 4 plus 1.

1st row: 1 dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1 dc into each remaining ch, 1 ch, turn.

2nd row: Miss 1st dc, 1 dc into each remaining dc, 3 ch, turn.

3rd row: Miss 1st dc, 1 tr into next dc, * miss 3 dc, 1 dtr into next dc, 1  tr into each of 3 missed dc working behind dtr, rep from * ending 1 tr into each of last 2 dc, 3 ch, turn.

4th row: Miss 1st tr, 1 tr into next tr, * miss 3 tr, 1 dtr into dtr, 1 tr into each of 3 missed tr working in front of dtr, rep from * ending as 3rd row, 1 ch, turn.

5th row: Miss 1st tr, 1 dc into each remaining tr, 1 ch, turn.

Repeat rows 2 to 5 for pattern.

Abbreviations

dc: Double Crochet

ch: Chain Stitch

tr: Treble Crochet

dtr: Double Treble
